Delvaux, Paul (1897-1994)
After completing military service in 1920, Paul Delvaux began his career as a painter.
Although he started painting in a realistic style, he was soon influenced by the
surrealist movement, and his mature painting style began to emerge. He also worked as a
set designer for dance, theater, and film productions. |
