Welcome to Bornemania: AP Art History. If you
are new to Mr. Borneman's classes, the links you
probably want most are located on the left-hand side. If
you ever want to go back to the main page (where you can head to
other class sites), simply click on the blue spiral in the upper
right hand corner:
More likely, you either want to
find out about the Syllabus or the
Message
Board where you can register and post messages to present and
past students. Each one of these is fairly simple to get
to. Just click on the links to the left and you will be
there!
To find out about the Projects
for this Class, click on the Projects link.
To find out about daily Class
Readings, Click on the Syllabi
and Rules link, then click on the unit you want to know
about. The syllabi are set up with a date, topic for the
day, and reading to be prepared in advance for that very same
day. For example, if you see the following on the
syllabus:
Sep.
15 F |
Sumerian
Art |
pp. 16 - 26
+ 19
pp. 30 – 40 + p. 33 Writing (10) |
This means that on Friday,
September 15th, the teacher will be discussing the Sumerian
Art; students will be quizzed at the beginning of class, that
day, on pages 16 - 26 (approximately 10 pages of material) and
should read it in preparation for that day. The
boldface type indicates the "Western Perspective" edition of
the Gardner's Art Through the Ages; the regular typeface
indicates the Complete 12th Edition of Gardner's. The "+
19" indicates a required reading which appears in an inset
box on that page (in the Western Perspective Edition, p. 33 in
the complete 12th edition). "Writing" indicates that the
inset material is about ancient Sumerian writing.
