October 10th, 2008:

Just thought I'd include a link on this page for students interested in the 2009 SE Asian Tour!

July 18th, 2008:

It has been a year of hiatus while I have been on sabbatical this past year, but I am back and have begun to re-sculpt the course for the block schedule which was adopted last year.  I have removed the research project but retained introductory lectures, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and 1984.  In-class viewing supplements have been augmented.  Quarter 1 is up.  Subsequent quarters will be put up over the next several weeks.

March 14th, 2006:

The bulk of the Government Skeleton is in place!  Will begin a massive re-pasting of menu bars for Government.  The Class portion is virtually complete.  Now that I've virtually perfected it, it's about time that I stop teaching it!  Distinctions between Semester I and II have become more pronounced (1984 in the Fall, DaMN Project in the Spring).

August 16th, 2005:

I have just created the syllabus for the Fall Semester College Prep. Government class.  I have integrated Orwell's 1984, included more films, but have not moved towards more work with the Supreme Court Cases.  I have also begun the creation of another project - dumping the CIA Project in favor of a more optimistic and forward-looking "Democratic Reform in the 20th Century" Project in which students track the dawning of (or return of) democratic traditions to a nation in the 20th century.  This will be fully added within the next few weeks.

June 20th, 2004:

I am still debating (with myself) exactly what I am going to include and what I am going to ditch next year.  Potential chopping-blockers include the CIA Project, the Federalist Papers, and the Court Cases.  Potential expansion and inclusion items include: Orwell's 1984, more films and reviews, and the Court Cases.  Hopefully, I'll get a weekly syllabus out in September of 2005.

September 11th, 2003:

All Documents (except court cases) are up.  Class Rules, Course Outline, Class Projects, Message Board,  and Government Links are up (some are still in progress but the basics are in).

August 18, 2003:

More stuff is going in all the time - trying to get most of what's needed up and ready this week in preparation for the first day of class.  The major documents are up.  The message board is up.  Class Rules will be the next section to go up.

Spring 2003 Update:

Ah the miracle that is HTML. We've got the American Government part of the webpage back up and running to the extent that it was when Erik was running it (or at least so says Borneman, he could be lying to make me feel better). Either way, enjoy the Foundations to the class, we're working on getting class rules, etc. put on the page, so enjoy! -Clay
